“The mission of Chugach Park Access Coalition is to foster the public’s ability to enter Chugach State Park at multiple access points to ensure the opportunity for visitors to enjoy this valuable public resource with due respect for neighboring landowners.”

Through participation in public process, we will:

·         Secure access points to meet public needs.

·         Ensure that public access easements are incorporated into plats of proposed subdivisions which may potentially restrict access to Chugach State Park.

·         Advocate trailhead and parking designs that are compatible with local neighborhoods

·         Ensure that public parking is provided where appropriate in the vicinity of access points.

·         Create and maintain an inventory and plan of present and potential access points, including pertinent data on features. 

·         Improve trail connectivity between CSP and other public landowners
